Filtered 13 A Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide protected mains distribution for equipment installed in 19-inch server racks and electronic enclosures. These units form part of Adept Networks’ filtered PDU range, which incorporates protection against surges, spikes and mains-borne transients that may affect connected IT and networking hardware.
Each model listed in the Filtered 13 A category uses a robust all-aluminium housing suitable for long-term rack installation. Horizontal versions require 2 U of rack space and are supplied with a 3-metre input lead terminated with a BS 1363 plug fused at 13 A. Product specifications confirm an overall rating of 13 A at 250 V AC.
Available configurations include 4-way and 5-way UK-socket models, with additional filtered variants such as 6-way, 8-way, 10-way and 12-way options shown within the filtered PDU category. All filtered PDUs in this category incorporate a protection system rated up to 6.5 kA peak current. They are also described as suitable for high system-exposure environments corresponding to location categories A and B (6 kV / 3 kA), as well as medium-exposure category C, in accordance with BS 6651:1992 Appendix C.
