Adept Networks has again sponsored the Swindon Robins speedway team for 2008. 2007 was the year that the Robins put together a side that was immediately named as favourites to win the title for the first time since 1967. With the Abbey Stadium - home of the Robins since 1949 - under threat of closure, hopes were high from the offset that the forty-year title drought could finally come to an end. There was, however, one team in particular who were determined to put a stop to Swindon's title aspirations - the Coventry Bees. Swindon Robins ended up being runners-up in the league and runners-up in the cup, lets hope this year they can go one better.
